The charter boat we operate is a 28 foot, welded aluminum day cruiser built by the Duckworth Boat Company. This boat is one of, if not the finest, in her class in Southeast Alaska. This 1998 model offshore cruiser was specifically built for use in the Gulf of Alaska.


The boat is powered by twin 140 hp 4stroke Suzuki outboards. They offer the safety of twin power and the ability to cruise at 35+ mph with a load but also gives us the slow trolling speed used for tantalizing king salmon with herring. The boat is equipped with the latest electronics: radar, GPS, color depth sounder, and VHF radio.

 

The unique walk-through window on the Duckworth allows us to disembark on remote beaches without using a dinghy. The walk-through is also very convenient for photographers. The boat offers lots of inside storage and a large outside deck.

Fishing equipment on-board include electronic downriggers, salmon rods, deep sea rods, and all the hooks/lures/bait needed to catch the big one. Once caught, the fish are kept on ice in the on-board cooler.
